1. Breakouts

If you see your skin breaking out, stop using your moisturizer. You need a light moisturizer if you have a sensitive skin or are prone to acne. You can also use hydrating gel or serum to keep your skin hydrated. Also, make sure the product doesn’t have harsh chemicals. You can make body moisturizer at home.

2. Dry patches

Essential oils

Dry patches even after using a moisturizer are a sign that the product is not suitable for you. You need to change your moisturizer if your makeup looks cracked or your skin starts peeling. You may also see dark, dry spots if your skin is dry and the moisture you are using is not enough. You can use a few drops of mineral oil to keep your skin moisturized and healthy.

3. Oily skin

If your face is looking oily then the moisturizer you are using is not right. The moisturizer should hydrate your skin without making it greasy. Choose a water-based and oil-free product that will leave your skin moisturized and nourished without making it oily or greasy.  (ALSO SEE How to choose the right sunscreen for your skin).

If you see rashes or redness after the application of a moisturizer then stop using it immediately. These signs of skin irritation are telling you that one or more of the ingredients in the moisturizer is not suitable for you. You need to change the product. If you have a sensitive skin, make sure the moisturizer you are using is preservative-free, fragrance-free and doesn’t contain harsh chemicals. Use natural products for your skin.

You may see small white bumps on your skin if you are not using the right product. These small bumps are not acne but are called milia. Milia can develop at random places on your face if you are using the body moisturizer on your face. Change the moisturizer and consult your doctor to treat the condition. Also, do not pop milia.

You will see definitely see an improvement in your skin condition as soon as you change the moisturizer to the one better suited for you.
